IVI has been working on the “Business Scenario WG” since its establishment as a voluntary organization in 2015 to solve problems initiated by manufacturing sites.

Every year, fifteen to twenty-five Business Scenario WGs are organized using “Smart Thinking (a method for sharing and utilizing individual knowledge and experience for an organization to use digital technology, led by the manufacturing site),” which is introduced in the book. They publish a collection of business scenarios as a concrete result of their year-long efforts, including demonstration experiments.
